Mission Central HUB of Paxtonville UMC

 
 

A mission Central HUB is alive and well in the Lewisburg District.  Already over a year old the HUB is open Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The first function of our HUB is to make UMCOR health and school kits.  We collect supplies or money to buy supplies, or collect whole kits or supplies from all other UMCOR relief kits and Mission Central Love kits.  These Love kits are for local ministries and we are able to bring kits from Mission Central to be used in your mission projects.  The kits contents can be found on the Mission Central website at missioncentral.org.

If you would like to drop off supplies or kits you can do so on Tuesdays between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.  Please contact us at hpaige@paxtonvillechurch.com or call the church office at 570-837-3158 Tues. - Thurs. and leave a message for the HUB.  We will get back to you.

When we have enough supplies, teams of volunteers are welcome to come to the HUB to work on kits.  If Tuesdays do not work for your group we can arrange other times and days during your initial call or via e-mail.

Paxtonville is located three miles west of Middleburg, five mile east of Beavertown and one mile south of route 522 in Snyder County.  The mailing address is Paxtonville United Methodist Church, 1281 Paxton Street, P.O. Box 275, Paxtonville, PA 17861-0275.

We are always in need of card board boxes in which to pack kits/supplies and to transport them.  Copy paper box is fine.  The HUB does not deal with clothing, computers, or furniture.  Please find other local places to donate those items.

We believe Jesus’ words found in Matthew 25:34-40 culminating with “. . . I tell you the truth whatever you did for one of the least of the brothers of mine, you did for me.”  Please search your hearts and your mission budgets to see if contributing supplies or kits to the LEwisburg District HUB at Paxtonville for Mission Central and UMCOR is a way you can serve your Lord.
